My Mask

This is my  mask that I have created from several materials.The reason I believe that this masks represents me is because al the different circles represents my life and the different colors represents the ups and downs in my life.

Fabric Montage

For the fabric montage first I cut the shapes in the montage on fabric.Then I used liquid glue to stick it on fabric after that I stitched the shapes for the designs onto the fabric.I believe everything went successfully and all my techniques were done appropriately.What I learnt from this was the proper technique of stitching and the art of cut outs.

Paper Montage

For my paper montage, I first cut out the shapes for the designs on my montage.Then using normal glue I stuck onto an A4 paper.I think that everything went well in the creation and the results of my paper montage.Personally, I think that I have learnt much more about the art of montages and cut outs.

My 4 designs for my Montage

For My Montage, I first chose to draw about my migration story since I was born.So then I sketched it into 4 boxes and colored it.After that, I combined all of the boxes into 1 page to make the idea of my montage.What I think went well were the idea and my coloring skills.What I think didn't work well was my drawing skills in the 4 boxes.I believe that from this I have learnt more about Henri Matisse's artwork.

Henri Matisse Powerpoint

In this powerpoint first I chose one of Henri's work then I analysed it.After that, I answered some questions and answered them in a powerpoint.Personally, I believe that everything went successfully and nothing was wrong.Finally, I thnk I have learnt a lot from this because I now Know a lot of new knowledge about Henri Matisse and his artwork through his whole life.

Self Portrait-Taking a line for a walk

In this piece, we had to try to draw ourselves on our books using a pen but without taking the pen off the paper using a mirror to look at ourselves.For me what I found successful was not getting the pen off the paper.What I didn't find successful was managing to draw myself on the paper correctly.What I learnt from the was how instead of taking your hand off the paper every now and again and fixing mistakes and erasing things I learnt how to draw with the pen on the paper and fixing mistakes without erasing anything.

Thumb Impression

First of all,we got a thumb impression on a paper.We then managed to copy the lines from the thumb impression onto an A4 paper.After that on the thumb impression on the A4 paper we wrote information about our identity and family.And finally, we colored the thumb impression to stick it into our book.What I think was successful was writing the information into the thumb impression but what I found a little hard was drawing the details from the small fingerprint and drawing it on an A4 page.I believe that from this assignment I learnt how to draw in a very detailed and specific manner.

Identity Collage

For the collage I got pictures off the internet then printed them and cut them.I then stuck them into my book overlapping each other.I think what was successful was cutting the pictures in the right shape but what was not successful was trying to fit all the pictures on 1 page and to make sure they all appeared.From this experience, I believe I learnt more about my own identity.

First our class discussed the meaning of identity.Then each of us thought of what was our own identity.I think what went more successful was when we discussed it as a class because I then learnt about what identity actually is.
